Cable-Supported Hiking Trails

An easy-going stone path crosses the southern side of the Latemar from West to East. The path ends at the large cleft of the Latemar (2650 m - Biv. Rigatti). It connects with the normal route, path No. 18 and climbing route to the Latemar peak (2800 m).

The Kesselkogel (3004 m) is the highest point of the Rosengarten group, and is considered one of the most beautiful panorama points of the Dolomites. In addition, the point of the Kesselkogel can be reached from either the western or eastern ascent. The eastern path is considered somewhat more difficult, but with ladders and well-secured wire cables, it can be mastered without great difficulty.

The Laurenzi fixed cable climbing route leads through the high alpine area between Tierser Alpl and Antermoja. Facing north, you can see the steep breaches in the green Durontal and the distant high plain of the Seiser Alm, on the south, the stupendous scenery of the Kesselkogel Rosengarten and the Pala group up to the queen to dolomites, the Marmolada (3343 m).

This climbing route is south of the Rotwand climbing route, and leads to the Rotwand cabin in the direction of Fensterleturm across the Teufelswand (ca. 2700 m) up to Masarè point, (2585 m), followed by a descent to the Rotwand cabin.

These climbing path leads across the north grade to Rotwand peak, the main summit of the southern group of The Rosengarten group (2608 m).

Starting point: Paolina cabin (2125 m) variant: Descent to the Rotwand cabin (secured climb) or below the Fensterleturms, continuation of the Masarè climbing path and then back to the Paolina cabin.
