We have been committed to sustainability for many years.
At our nature hotel in Italy, sustainability has become an inner attitude, a way of life.
We always try to be mindful of nature and all people. Over the years, we have also received various awards for our sustainability efforts.
In May 2022, we obtained the GSTC certification, an international standard that aims to promote the development of sustainable tourism in all its aspects. It is recognised worldwide and enables hotels to demonstrate their commitment to sustainable tourism management in economic, social and environmental terms.
Connoisseur Circle
The Pfösl was placed first in the “Best Nature Hotel” category in the ratings of South Tyrol’s best hotels.
Turris Babel
The trade magazine Turris Babel paid tribute to South Tyrol’s finest architecture in 2019 – including the Pfösl.
Gault Millau
The 2021 Gault Millau Hotel Guide praised us in the category “Best Nature Hotels”.
EU Ecolabel
We have been awarded the EU Ecolabel, an international seal of quality that honours particularly environmentally friendly concepts.
Green Travel Award
In 2019, we were granted the Green Travel Award in the “Bio Spa” category: this is a seal that recognises particularly sustainable tourist establishments.

The work-life balance of our employees is a matter of great importance to us – as is working with them to improve the Pfösl further.
Strong goal
Together with all Vitalpina Hotels Südtirol, we have committed to tracking our CO2 emissions, reducing them and compensating them through balancing measures.

We are the winners of the 2023 Wellness Aphrodite award in the “Overall concept” category, which in particular recognises our sustainability efforts.

We are awarded the highest level 3 of the South Tyrol sustainability label. This corresponds to the GSTC standard, which covers the areas of management, socio-economics, culture and ecology.
