The primal force of nature

"Our luxury here is the peace and space, the harmonious unity with the surroundings."
And herbs play an important role in this. Host Brigitte Zelger is a trained herb expert and has created several herb gardens and raised beds in the hotel courtyard. Here, everyone can discover, sniff and taste.
Bread & Salt

"Bread & Salt"

is the name of the first raised bed containing plants that are used in bread baking. It's not just caraway, aniseed, fennel, coriander and bread clover that hotel guests can get to know here. They can also experience their processing during the weekly bread baking in the 300-year-old stone oven and enjoy tasting the different aromas in the various baked goods.
"Smoke & Blessing"

"Smoke & Blessing"

is the name of a second herb garden, protected from the grazing cattle by the typical wooden fences. Sage, elecampane, thyme, St. John's wort, mugwort and lavender are planted here. Herbs that can be smoked to purify the air and improve the atmosphere. We actively use the tradition of smoking at the Pfösl and experience how positively our guests perceive and enjoy this sensitization.
"Food & drink"

"Food & drink"

the herb garden for culinary and aromatic plants. Marigold, althaea, mint, lemon balm, wormwood and yarrow grow here. They are used by the kitchen team in the herbal menus, salads, teas, juices and other delicacies of the natural and herbal gourmet cuisine.

Pfösl’s permaculture

In our permaculture garden we grow an impressive selection of natural and tasty vegetables, cultivate old and sometimes forgotten plants, and nurture some very special rarities.

Our mountain herbs contain the elemental power of nature. I have discovered this healing power for myself and would like to pass this experience on to our guests.
